Deep Dive Musings | My Crazy First Date (If You Can Even Call It That)

Have you ever had a bad first date? What if I told you mine ended with an argument about money?

I recently went on a first date after newly being single. It seemed to be synchronistic timing that we would find each other in the same city months after meeting, both fresh out of relationships. While it wasn’t a juicy romantic tale, it did provide clarity about what I’m calling in in my life.

In this episode ofThe Deep Dive with Adam Roa, I recount the story of my first date with a woman who literally asked the universe for me. She wanted someone to pull her forward to grow, but she wasn’t willing to be challenged.

Do you want a partner who helps you to grow but can’t seem to find one? Then this episode is for you.

Here’s what you’ll learn:

  • Why it’s important to speak your truth to prevent future resentment
  • Why a conflict can show you your resistance to growth
  • How to become a match for the relationship you are calling in
  • How communication can allow you to see where your partner and you are misaligned

In the past, I’ve wanted to provide for my partner and carry the relationship financially because it made me feel powerful and more of a man, however, I’m ready to let go of that dynamic. This is no longer a paradigm that I wish to have, so now I get to make new choices.

If you desire a certain type of partner but are unable to attract a match, then you’ll want to listen to this episode. I share some advice about why we keep attracting the same patterns and types of people into our realities.
