Deep Dive Bonus - Important Perspective on the Coronavirus

We are facing a global pandemic that hasn’t been seen in our lifetime.

This isn’t an exaggeration, this is fact. The Coronavirus (COVID-19) has put entire countries into quarantine, healthcare systems are completely overwhelmed, and all reports suggest that it will get worse before it gets better.

I have been doing a lot of research, listening to a lot of experts, and having a lot of important conversations around this topic. My conclusion is that it’s time to take some important action steps to help prevent this from spreading. I don’t say this to scare you. I’m not here to instill fear. I’m here to ensure you are taking this situation seriously.

The 3 most important changes you can be focusing on at this time are:

  1. Isolation/Social Distancing. From a purely practical level, we must contain this virus and the way to do that is to stop spreading it. I personally am entering into a period of isolation where I’ve bought food and water so that I don’t need to go to any restaurants, I won’t have any visitors over, and all of my meetings are now phone calls.
  2. Good hygiene. Wash your hands more than normal. Wipe down surfaces. Use gloves when going out. Disinfect packages that are being delivered. Do whatever you feel will help you maintain a higher level of hygiene.
  3. Boost your immune system. Take supplements and eat supportive foods. Reduce your stress and make sure you’re getting a healthy amount of sleep. Find time to exercise. The virus is mostly fatal to people with weakened immune systems and the elderly, so you can help yourself out a lot by staying as healthy as possible. This includes your spiritual and emotional health, by the way, so continue to meditate and practice mindfulness.

If you want a deeper dive into these 3 actions and their importance, as well as more context around this situation, please listen to my podcast “What To Do About the Coronavirus?”. We are all in this together. It’s my hope that this event show us how deeply connected we are and invite a new level of unity.

I appreciate all of you and the effort you are putting in to educate yourself and make informed decisions.

Thank you. You are loved.
