Deep Dive Musings - Why You Should Date Yourself

Do you love yourself?

When was the last time you took yourself out on a date?

After spending ten years of my adult life in a relationship, I had to learn how to love myself after we broke up. Over the years, I’ve realized that it’s much easier to love another person and take care of them than it is to do the same for ourselves.

We often judge ourselves more harshly than we would the person we are dating. We are usually more willing to invest more time and energy into getting to know someone else than we are getting to know ourselves. In this episode ofThe Deep Dive with Adam Roa I dive into the importance of dating yourself and how to get what you want out of life.

Here’s what you’ll learn:

  • How to attract more abundance in life
  • How self-love is a spectrum and not a light-switch
  • Why it’s important to make yourself a priority and date yourself
  • How to develop self-love as a skill and habit

By cultivating more self-love you are affecting many more aspects of your life than you might realize. It all starts with pouring more love into yourself. You can listen to what you need and put energy into maintaining a healthy relationship with yourself, just like you would any other relationship you respect and are trying to grow.

Whatever you put into a relationship is what you’re going to get out, so if you want more self-love, you need to do more loving things for yourself. If you’re not sure how to love yourself or you struggle with attracting abundance, then this episode is for you.
