Deep Dive Musings - Am I Really That Insecure?

Who do you think you “should” be?

Do you have beliefs that cause you to show up inauthentically in life?

I recently had an experience in Cape Town, South Africa that helped me to become aware of a story I was telling myself. Negative feelings came up one night that bothered me and caused me to question who I was. In this episode ofThe Deep Dive with Adam Roa, I discuss my experience and how I managed to move through these feelings to discover the truth.

Do you listen to your stories or to what is actually true for you?

If you’ve ever imposed ideas of who you “should” be on yourself, you’ll want to listen to this episode.

Here’s what you’ll learn:

  • How we give meaning to our lives
  • Ways to become more self-aware
  • Why self-love is so important for everything you do
  • How to release old stories and beliefs

I’ve learned a lot of lessons from being single and I am deepening my relationship to myself. If you want to create a better relationship with anyone, you put time and energy into the relationship, so it’s important to do that for yourself. By learning more about yourself and spending the time to listen to what you actually want and who you are in this moment, you can start to question old stories that feel inauthentic.

If you’ve ever said things to yourself about how you “should” be, think, or feel, then this episode is for you. I dive deep into how I became aware of a belief I had and, ultimately, how I broke free from it.

Thank you for listening to this episode and for making choices to deepen your relationship with yourself. I hope that you gained insight that you can apply to your life.
